Make money blogging through affiliate marketing.
One way to monetize your blog is through affiliate marketing. You may have heard the term before. But what is affiliate marketing?
Affiliate marketing is when you place an affiliate link in your blog post and try to earn money from it when people click on it or when people purchase something through your link.
For example, Bluehost is one of my affiliate product. If you click on my link and purchase your hosting through my link, I will make a commission.
A good portion of my affiliate income comes from my How to Start a Blog With Bluehost. There, I detail what a beginner needs to know about blogging.
Here’s a list of affiliate marketing program you can use for your blog and start making money blogging:
1. Bluehost – Bluehost is one of the largest affiliate program that exists. I highly recommend it.
2. Flex Offers – Flex Offers is one of my top affiliate program out there. I have been with them since Day 1. There are a lot of companies listed on this network. First, you have to sign up to join the network. After you signed up, you can sign up for individual companies in your niche. Once you are approved for these companies, you get affiliate links that are ready to be used in your blog. I can’t think of a company that’s not listed in this network. I highly recommend it.
3. Swagbucks – I highly recommend this one. I make good money from this network.
4. IGain – This is one of my top affiliate programs out there. I use it to promote surveys.
5. Commission Junction – This one is very similar to Flex Offers. It has pretty much the same process as Flex Offers. Once you are approved to join the network, you can sign up to as many companies you would like. Those companies usually approve your request within 1 or 2 days.
6. $5 Meal Plan – This affiliate network is great for those who are in the food/recipe niche.
Make Money Blogging by placing ads on your blog
Another way to monetize your blog is through display ads.
Displaying ads is when you place an ad on your blog in the sidebar, in the header, footer, inside the content of your article, etc…And you earn a certain amount of money for every view that the ad gets.
Google Adsense is one of the best playing ads out there and one that can earn you real money.
Google Adsense is good option for beginners who don’t have that much traffic. Once your blog reaches 25k sessions in the last 30 days, then you apply to the Mediavine network.
Once your blog reaches 100k a month, you can apply for Adthrive.
Make Money Blogging Through Sponsored Posts
Sponsored post is when a company contacts you and asks you if you can publish a post on their behalf on your blog. They can either write the post or you can write it for them.
Once your blog gets a lot of traffic and has some recognition, you will get a lot of these emails.
If you decide you want to do sponsored posts on your blog, you have to know how much you should be charging. Some bloggers charge anywhere from $50 to thousands of dollars.
Make Money Blogging By Selling Your Own Product
After all it is your blog. You decide how to make money and vehicles to choose to make money.
If you have a product, let’s say an e-book, your blog is a good place for you to market it and make money.
I have seen people make tons of money marketing their own stuff.
